Dress for Less During Fall

As fall is creeping up on us, we can’t help but to already think about sweaters, coats, and boots. However, I’m trying to hold onto summer pieces for as long as I can and incorporate it into fall. In today’s blog post, I’ll be giving tips on how you can save some money when creating fall outfits as well as how to keep warm. If you are a fan of the upcoming season, you’ll understand me when I say the weather includes chilly days along with the smell of crisp leaves that will make you crave for some pumpkin spice lattes, but it also means there will be days where it feels like summer never left us. Rather than competing with the weather, we just need to dress smarter, in a fashionable way of…

Falling for you

Back in June I told myself it’s time to hustle and write at least two blog posts a week…and I did for about three weeks (haha). I have lots of drafts saved but didn’t feel like posting it because I came down on what is known as the writer’s block syndrome. In addition, July was the launch of my Youtube channel so my focus was more on video content during the month. Some future things to expect for the next few months from me is a page for you to shop my looks and hopefully two blog posts a week. My goal is to write two blog posts as well as filming one Youtube video per week. I was doing pretty well with my Youtube content and record two new videos last week; however, I wasn’t…

Diary of a Lashaholic

Eyelash Serum Result Babe Lash

This post is sponsored by Babe Lash but all opinions are my own Growing up I was an unfortunate girl who did not have the luxury of “beautiful lashes”. My lashes are naturally straight and short and it takes a lot of effort just to keep them curled. In addition, the length of them makes it almost invisible to be seen, hence why I always wear falsies. About two months ago I connected with Babe Lash and after reading the vision behind their brand and the effects of their products I decided to try it out. The company also offers mascara and liquid eyeliner, but in today’s blog post I want to focus on the effects of their serum. For those who don’t know, eyelash serums are applied on your eyelashes and helps to…

Versatility with Strathberry

Black Strathberry Midi Tote

Product was gifted, but the blog post is not sponsored. All opinions are in my own words. As a style blogger, I learned to be versatile in my choices for clothes, shoes, and accessories. I can spend hours staring at my shopping cart pondering about the price point and value of the products I chose. Thoughts that run through my mind includes: how many times can I wear that piece, will it last me for several years, and what can I wear it with. Though the minimal style is not for everyone, it gives great value to my life. I have created a capsule wardrobe with those pieces and I wear it during all four seasons. It saved me money and time so I’m not always stressed about keeping up with the latest trend.…

Stargazing in Hotel LeVeque

The hotel I stay in is a priority for me when I travel out of town. I try to make sure the hotel is in the right part of the city and the room itself is something I feel comfortable staying in. Fortunately, Hotel LeVeque was just my type of accommodation. Located in Downtown Columbus this hotel opened its doors to the public in early March 2017. The receptionists were friendly and the décor made you felt like you were stargazing both in the lobby and your room. If you’re familiar with my style you know that I love anything minimal. The main lobby was stunning and has a unique design and décor. The columns and tall ceilings definitely made you feel elevated. Upon entering the room, the grey color scheme with a touch of…

Influencer Myths–Debunked

Till this day women are still underrepresented in the corporate world, so it’s no wonder why they resort to blogging as a full-time job. We created a career of our own. Rather than being stuck at a 9-5 M-F job working under a boss, they are their own bosses. Growing up, I remember blogging was just a way for people to vent and speak their mind, but now it became a career for thousands of people. For me? I’m not putting all of my eggs in a basket, yet. I believe people still laugh at the idea of blogging as a career. It sounds way too good to be true doesn’t it? People who are not in the industry may ask: How much of it can really be a living? Why is it possible…

How Social Media Changed My Life

We all know that social media has a large impact in our thoughts and lives. We wake up and the first thing we check is our messages and mails, Twitter, Facebook, etc. The best part of social media for me is that it gave me opportunities I never thought existed. I am still a small blogger and obviously don’t have a good idea of how to network compared to the already established, but keep on reading to see how it changed my life. I am thankful for all of the opportunities given to me. I would’ve never known what kind of life was out there if I had still lived in Missouri. I will admit, moving away has been one of the best decisions of my life, even if it breaks my heart being away from…

Instagram Algorithm

Algorithm – It’s the hottest topic on Instagram right now that it might as well be the #1 trending hashtag (if it isn’t already). After reading several blog posts where bloggers voiced their opinion on the topic, I’ve concluded one thing: it discourages influencers no matter if they have 1K or 100K followers. Therefore, I’ll spare you the sad story of how it affects me. Instead, let’s discuss numbers and why we are so dumbfounded about it.       People speak of numbers as if it is a foreign concept. There are those that wonder “why do people obsess themselves over numbers of likes and followers on social media? That is so superficial”   Well Aunt Jane…. the problem is numbers. This is where you need to consider your life outside of social…

Travel Tips

Adult-Only vs. Family-Friendly Resort

Most likely your initial thought is “Well of course an all-adult is the way to go!” — because that was what I thought too. Unfortunately, it was not what I experienced.   Upon our arrival to our resort (Royal Suite Turquesa) there was one thing that stuck out to us — the hotel was quiet. I’m not talking about peaceful tranquility, but rather, there was not a lot of people in the resort. It only took us a day to realize that every other sister hotel in the resort are much more lively. My assumption is that parents want to take their kids with them, so of course those hotels will be more busy (and fun). Adult-only resorts are more expensive. My advice is to save the extra money for nicer resorts that is…

Hair Coloring Advice

I remember as a child, I wanted to cut my hair shorter and layer it – but my mom wouldn’t let me touch it until I was 16. Her response was, “you’re going to damage your hair” and “it’s going to look bad”. Being a good child, I listened to everything she said, but I’m glad I got out of that stage!
